Money Matters: A Financial Literacy Program

Money Matters is designed to make financial literacy accessible and engaging for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Our goal is to equip young minds with the essential knowledge and skills they need to navigate the financial world confidently and responsibly. By the end of this journey, students will be well-prepared to make smart financial decisions, plan for their future, and stay safe in the digital economy.

Why Financial Literacy Matters

Understanding money is a crucial life skill. It empowers individuals to make informed decisions, manage their resources effectively, and achieve their financial goals. In today’s fast-paced world, financial literacy is more important than ever. Our course is structured to grow with students, starting with basic concepts and gradually introducing more complex ideas as they advance through the grades.

What Students Will Learn

In Money Matters, students will build a solid foundation in financial literacy. They will start by understanding different forms of money, basic banking services, and the importance of distinguishing between needs and wants. As they progress, they will explore ways to earn money, the concept of borrowing, and the basics of loans and insurance. Practical skills like budgeting, creating spending plans, and setting savings goals will be emphasized. Students will also learn to make smart spending choices, prioritize needs over wants, and make environmentally conscious decisions. Additionally, the course covers safe online payment methods, basic investment concepts, financial planning, and fraud prevention strategies. By the end of the course, students will be well-equipped to navigate the financial world with confidence and responsibility.
